May 13: Upper 70s to start the day

Happy Wednesday! Yesterday’s showers have helped dropped the temperatures to the upper 70s to start the day. The rain also help improve the containment for the brush fire burning west of US 27 -- it is now 80% contained. The forecast calls for highs to reach the 90s with heat indices reaching the upper 90s near 100 degrees before another round of afternoon scattered storms develop. Keep that raingear handy.
