If you have any outdoor plans this holiday weekend, the forecast looks pretty favorable. It’ll feel like it’s in the upper 90s, however, so stay cool and stay hydrated. Overall, the chances for showers or storms are less than 30% through Monday. If you have travel plans toward the west coast this weekend, you’d better pack an umbrella — that’s where the highest rain chances will be.
Watch out for a high risk of rip currents at all East Coast beaches on Saturday, with southeasterly winds at 15-20 mph. Our rain chances go up later next week, but the near-term forecast looks mostly dry for much of the holiday weekend. Highs will be in the upper 80s, with overnight lows in the upper 70s.
