July 22: Summer heat and ‘here/there’ storms

As showers and storms diminish over South Florida’s western counties Wednesday night, Miami-Dade and Broward can expect tranquil conditions. Scattered clouds and gentle, east winds set the stage for temperatures to drop to the low 80s overnight. An isolated shower or two is not completely out of the question.

Thursday will bring a sun/cloud mix with east-northeast winds, sustained 5 to 10 mph. Showers and storms could dampen the area from time to time. Temperatures are forecast to reach the low 90s with heat indices peaking at 100°+F.
