Aug. 8: The heat is on again today

Miami made it to 92 degrees and the warmth was set to continue into Saturday night.

Lows will fall into the lower 80s by Sunday morning.

A few showers could move onshore as winds persist out of the southeast overnight. Rain will likely linger into Sunday morning. Showers will be hard to come by Sunday afternoon. Dry air is set to race in and limit showers across the region, and keep temperatures warm.

Look for highs in the lower 90s once again with heat indices in the triple digits.

The rip current risk will remain elevated Sunday. Avoid getting in the water. If you must, be sure to swim in front of a lifeguard.
