A very hot weekend is in the cards for South Florida.

A spotty shower or storm is not completely out of the question Friday evening. Otherwise, scattered clouds, subtle southeast winds and very warm conditions will define the night for Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Temperatures are expected to drop to the low 80s overnight.

There could be a spotty shower or two in the area early Saturday. Thereafter, the day will feature sunshine, scattered clouds, a hint of haze and southeast to east-southeast winds sustained at 5 to 10 mph. Afternoon storms will tend to favor the Everglades or western areas of South Florida. Temperatures are forecast to reach the low to mid-90s, with heat indices peaking at 105 F or higher.

Sunday will offer hazy sunshine and hardly a drop of rain. Temperatures will make a run for the mid-90s, while humidity will make it feel like triple digits.
