It’s a soggy start to the new work and school week. A Flood Watch is in effect for all areas of South Florida early this morning through early Tuesday morning.
Widespread rain showers and thunderstorms today will produce periods of steady moderate to heavy rain potentially resulting in flash flooding, in flood prone or low-lying areas along the East Coast metro and areas with poor drainage.There is a possibility 3 to 6 inches are forecast across most of the area, with isolated amounts of 8 or more inches possible. Rain will gradually increase in coverage this morning, with the heaviest rainfall expected this afternoon through the late-night hours. Keep it tuned to Local10 for more details.
