HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Boxing legend Mike Tyson is stepping back into the spotlight — not in the ring, but on a South Florida stage.
Tyson, 59, is bringing his new live show, Return of the Mike, to Hard Rock Live in Hollywood for a one-night event blending comedy and storytelling.
The show promises a raw, unfiltered look at Tyson’s life beyond boxing.
“It’s just gonna be me expressing about my opinions about certain issues in the community and in life,” said Tyson.
Local 10’s Alexis Frazier spoke with Tyson ahead of the performance, where he also addressed a recently announced potential exhibition fight with Floyd Mayweather early next year.
When asked if Mayweather had reached out, Tyson replied, “Pretty much, yeah.”
When pressed on whether Mayweather is ready, Tyson said, “I don’t think so, but you know. People bite off too much what they can, you know, can chew.”
Tyson is scheduled to take the Hard Rock Live stage at 7 p.m. Sunday. Click here for more information on how to purchase tickets.
