PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — A new interactive gaming facility is lighting up the fire in players across South Florida who are determined to come out on top.
Activate is a place that’s sure to stimulate the mind and body, one game at a time.
Every time you win, you unlock a new level and a new experience that you definitely won’t forget.
It’s the ultimate gaming experience with 12 different rooms to choose from and 500 levels for you to solve.
“You play in groups of 2 to 5 in the rooms at a time,” Sebastien Piche, Vice President of Operations for Activate, said. “So you come in with your friend, over with your friends, coworkers, your family, and you work together as a team or you can compete against each other as well, and you’ll need to win to get the scores.”
Piche said the location in Pembroke Pines is South Florida’s first and its 50th internationally.
“South Florida for us was a natural fit,” he said. “There’s a lot of activity-driven experience possible for people living in the area. So the opportunity to provide an experience or activate, which is very much a league of its own and different from what you can do for entertainment or leisure activities. It was just a natural fit.”
The experience starts with a wristband and a profile. Then you choose your adventure and rise through the ranks.
“The games are about a minute and a half or two minutes, so it’s a very rapid pace. So you can play a good amount of games for 60 minutes to 90 minutes,” Piche said.
“Our rooms that are very TikTok famous is Megagrid,” Piche added. “Megagrid is the one that you see over and over and over again. It’s a combination of strategy, co-op together, communication as well and a lot of other skills.”
It’s an adrenaline-filled adventure and Piche says there’s something for everyone to conquer.
“I think the call out about Activate is how replayable the game is,” he said. “This is not a one and done. You really get to play and unlock all these levels across a period of time. And it’s really about taking it back where you left it.”
Activate is open 7 days a week. If you want to play for an hour, it’ll cost you $28. And if you’ve got more energy left in the tank, 90 minutes will cost you $38.
