Anthony’s Coal Fired lined with repeat violations and insects

State inspectors ordered several South Florida restaurants to shut down last week, including Yume in Cutler Bay, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in Pinecrest, Bangkok Cuisine in Homestead, Bamboo Kitchen in Dania Beach, and The Alchemist C&S in Wilton Manors.

Inspection reports show rodent issues were found at Yume, while roach issues were found at Bangkok Cuisine and Bamboo Kitchen, along with other serious sanitation problems at the remaining locations.

No kitchens were ordered shut in the Florida Keys last week.

All the places mentioned were allowed to re-open following an ordered cleanup and re-inspection.

“Dead roaches on premises. Observed 1 dead roach on top of the soap dispenser at the kitchen area. Employee cleaned it. Also observed another dead roach under the shelf by the walk in cooler.”

“Food stored on floor. Observed several foods stored on the floor of the walk in cooler and walk in freezer. Repeat Violation.”

“Ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared onsite and held more than 24 hours not properly date marked. Observed cooked chicken, pork, boiled eggs held more than 24 hours inside the walk in cooler not date marked.”

“Time/temperature control for safety food, other than whole meat roast, hot held at less than 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Observed tapioca (102 F - Hot Holding)at the front counter.”

“Bowl or other container with no handle used to dispense food. Observed a plastic container used as scoop inside the rice.”

“Employee failed to wash hands before putting on gloves to initiate a task working with food. Employee was talking on the phone and she failed to wash hands before putting on gloves.”

“Operating with an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license. Observed license expired on Oct 2025. Repeat Violation.”
