MIRAMAR, Fla. — February is National Children’s Dental Health Month, and the Concorde Career Institute–Miramar is partnering with Aspen Dental to help families protect young smiles with a day of free dental services.
Together they are hosting “Making Miramar Smile,” a no-cost dental care event for children ages 4 to 17 on Monday, Feb. 9.
The event is designed to increase access to preventive dental care and raise awareness about the importance of early treatment.
According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, tooth decay is the most common chronic childhood disease, but experts say it is largely preventable with early and regular dental visits, proper brushing and flossing habits, and preventive treatments.
During the event, Concorde dental hygiene students — working under the supervision of licensed dental professionals — will provide free X-rays, cleanings, and preventive services for eligible children. Organizers say the goal is to support families in the community while also giving students valuable hands-on clinical experience.
Appointments are limited and must be scheduled in advance. Families can pre-register by clicking here.
A small number of same-day appointments may become available due to cancellations. Residents are encouraged to call the clinic at 954-488-3511 on the morning of the event to check availability before arriving.
