The Embrace Girls Foundation, Interiors By Steven G., and The Real Food Academy co-hosted a special Thanksgiving Day brunch in Miami-Dade County.

“Just giving back really makes such an impact, and I’m so happy to be here,” Newman said. “And today, we’re serving meals for law enforcement who protect our communities.”

About 200 firefighters, police officers, deputies, and troopers were among their guests. Some were so busy that they picked up their meal to go.

Miami Police Chief Manny Morales and Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Maj. Vivian Lewis said they were grateful for the event because the first responders aren’t able to celebrate at home with their families.
