MIAMI — Detectives who are investigating a homicide were searching for a fugitive on Sunday in Miami-Dade County.

Miami police officers ordered a driver to stop shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday near Northwest 12th Avenue and 88th Street, but the driver sped away, according to police.

The driver stopped and ran away with three other passengers. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies in a helicopter also responded to the search.

Law enforcement arrested three suspects, but one ran away. Police officers believe the suspects were related to a homicide that detectives didn’t release information about, according to police.
