Who killed London Price? Family believes they know, but police not saying

Surveillance video shows man running with gun from NW Miami Dade home

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – There is no indication that a transwoman killed in northwest Miami-Dade on Monday was the victim of a hate crime. Friends and family, however, say they know who killed London Price and that person can be seen on surveillance video moments after the fatal shooting.

The subject is seen running from the crime scene not far from the crime scene, an apartment at Northwest 93rd Street, with a gun in his hand.

Nedra Allen said the victim who was shot and killed was her 26-year-old niece.

Allen said Price was a transwoman.

“She’d give you the shirt off her back. That’s kind of what put her in the situation to get her hurt,” said Allen.

The “situation,” according to her family is her ex, who had moved back into the apartment with her, they say. They name him, out loud and in heartbroken social media posts. Local 10 News is not naming him as police have not made an arrest nor even named a person of interest.

“She got her name changed, passport, went to the court and got everything done the right way,” said Allen about Price’s transition.

Local 10 News knocked on the doors of the apartments surrounding Price’s home, but there were no answers. No one answered at the main house who could corroborate and identify whether the person in the video is the same person who Price loved, lived with and may have paid a terrible price for.

The man in question has had past run-ins with the law, according to criminal records, but detectives are not saying whether they are focused on him.

Local 10 News is working on getting more information on this case.

“I want justice to be served,” said Allen.
