MIAMI — There have been new developments in the case of an Onlyfans model charged with murdering her boyfriend.
The parents of Courtney Clenney have been taken into custody in connection with the case.
Local 10 News learned through sources that after police turned the couple’s apartment back over to Clenney’s family, her father found something that should have been considered evidence, but he did not immediately turn it over to police.
According to online records out of Travis County, Texas, 57-year-old Deborah Clenney and 60-year-old Kim Clenney were arrested just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and are being held on an out-of-state felony warrant.
Kim Clenney took the stand in his daughter’s defense during a bond hearing in November of 2022.
According to police sources, Clenney’s parents attempted to conceal evidence as they cleaned out her Edgewater high-rise apartment.
Kim Clenney allegedly found a laptop belonging to his daughter’s boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, in that apartment, which had not been taken by police, and even attempted to access it.
Sources said he later turned the laptop over to his attorneys.
Courtney Clenney is accused of killing Obumseli during an argument in April of 2022.
Courtney Clenney’s attorneys say she acted in self-defense.
Obumseli’s family claims there was a pattern of domestic abuse that ultimately ended with her fatally stabbing him during an outburst.
Courtney Clenney remains in jail awaiting trial on that second-degree murder charge.
Her attorney released a statement following the arrests of her parents.
