While in court, the defense reported Galarza, 58, was homeless and the prosecution reported he had a conviction for lewd and lascivious behavior from 1997.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Galarza was arrested for a robbery with a deadly weapon in 1999, convicted in 2000 in Miami-Dade, and released in 2007.

Trawick ordered him to stay away from the area near Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 76 Street where police officers arrested him for trespassing on Friday.

Court records show Galarza’s record in the 90s and early 2000s includes marijuana and cocaine. In 2014, he was arrested for domestic violence in Miami Beach, records show.

County records show correctional officers booked Galarza shortly before 9:30 p.m., Friday, at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where he remained on Saturday afternoon. Trawick set his bond at $500.
