Transgender woman held for ransom at Miami motel by ‘upset’ sex partner, police say
A man became “upset” after finding out the woman he just had a sexual encounter with was transgender, so he and another man held her at gunpoint at a Miami motel and demanded ransom from her friends and family, according to police.

MIAMI – A 15-year-old girl was shot in the head early Tuesday morning in Miami, police said. Family members have identified her as Arya Gray, and say the girl has died. It took police over 12 hours to process the scene, and they said it may have been an accidental shooting. The girl’s family said they can’t comprehend this and want to know where the gun came from. “(She was a) very peaceful person, she loved to be around her family, her friends, her brother and sister, and her sister actually witnessed everything -- witnessed her take her last breath.”Family members say 15-year-old Arya Gray (pictured) was shot in the head and killed.
Jeffrey Epstein's attorneys propose home detention
The defense proposal also would put Epstein under electronic monitoring by GPS, post a "substantial" personal recognizance bond secured by his Manhattan home, and deregister and ground his private jet. Prosecutors have asked that Epstein be detained without bail until his trial. His bail hearing is scheduled for Monday.
