MIAMI — A woman appeared in court on Monday facing domestic violence charges related to a bat, knife, and gun.

According to the arrest report, Lakeetia Howard was talking to a relative who told her that he was fighting with his romantic partner on Friday morning in Miami.

According to the report, Howard, 27, showed up at their apartment, fractured a woman’s fingers, kicked a 4-year-old girl, and chased another victim with a knife.

“The defendant confessed to having a dispute with her family members,” a police officer wrote.

According to the report, Howard used the knife to slash the tires of two parked cars that belonged to the victims and waved a gun around threatening to shoot them.

Court records show Miami police officers arrested Howard in 2022 for violating an injunction of protection for aggravated stalking. Prosecutors filed a new case on Sunday.

Howard faced charges of aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, child abuse, and criminal mischief greater than $200 and less than $1,000.

County inmate records show correctional deputies held Howard without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
