MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A juvenile was shot early Friday morning in southwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed to Local 10 News.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the shooting was reported at 3:46 a.m. in the 28300 block of Southwest 140th Place.
Deputies said they received a call about a person yelling and arrived at the scene to find a juvenile male lying on the ground, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
MDSO’s South District General Investigations Unit (GIU) has assumed the investigation.
No other details were immediately released.
