MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — A death investigation is underway after a woman was pulled from a pool Monday morning outside a home in Miami Shores, authorities confirmed.
Sky 10 was above the 200 block of Northeast 101st Street at 9:40 a.m. as a yellow tarp was covering the victim’s body near the pool in the backyard of a home.
According to Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Detective Angel Rodriguez, Miami Shores police officers and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel were called to the home at about 9:15 a.m. regarding someone who was found unconscious in a pool.
Rodriguez said first responders from MDFR pulled the woman from the water and pronounced her dead at the scene.
MDSO’s Homicide Bureau has taken over the investigation into the woman’s death.
No other details were immediately released.
