SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla. — A 71-year-old man faced a felony charge on Monday over an alleged anti-semitic road rage incident outside of a Slavic foods market in Miami-Dade County.

The 79-year-old victim told police officers Vyacheslav Mikhailov, who was in a car behind him on Friday afternoon in Sunny Isles Beach, honked “aggressively,” according to police.

During the confrontation at about 2 p.m. outside of the Matryoshka Deli Food, “the victim exited his vehicle to ask him what was the reason for his behavior,” a police officer wrote, according to the report.

“I will kill you and all Jewish people,” Mikhailov shouted, according to a police report. Adding, Mikhailov also “approached” the victim and started “pushing him in an aggressive manner.”

Sunny Isles Beach police officers arrested Mikhailov, who was born in Russia, shortly after 2:05 p.m. on Friday after trespassing at the market at 18100 Collins Ave., records showed.

Miami-Dade corrections booked Mikhailov shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Friday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Mikhailov, who has an arrest record in Sunny Isles Beach going back to 2010, appeared in Miami-Dade bond court on Saturday afternoon.

Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Marisa Tinkler Mendez denied Mikhailov’s bond on one count of aggravated battery on a person older than 65 years old, a first-degree felony.

The judge set Mikhailov’s bond for a misdemeanor charge of trespassing on private property after a warning at $150.

Police officers had also accused Mikhailov of driving under the influence with a suspended license, records showed.

The judge decided to allow his release on recognizance on the DUI charge. She also set his bond for a second or subsequent refusal to submit to DUI testing at $500, and knowingly driving with a suspended license at $150.

Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Carlos Gamez is set to preside over the felony aggravated battery case, and Circuit Judge Lizzet Martinez was set to preside over the trespassing case.
