PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Police arrested former NFL player Stedman Bailey and a woman after they said they had public sex in an arcade within the Pembroke Lakes Mall.
It happened just before 12:30 a.m. on July 27 at Round1, police said.
Bailey, 35, of Miramar, is accused of openly having sex with Karina Manderson, 35, of Pembroke Pines.
According to the Pembroke Pines Police Department, officers responded to Round1 after receiving reports of two people who were having sex at the bar of the establishment.
Police said they reviewed surveillance footage which showed Manderson “leaned over at the waist” while Bailey was behind her, and a witness told investigators that they observed the two having intercourse, and when asking the suspects to stop, Bailey pulled up his pants and the two slowly left the bar area.
When speaking to the suspects, police said both admitted to drinking multiple shots while at the bar, and investigators said Bailey admitted “they both had their pants down” and that he was exposing himself, but said “penetration never took place.”
Police said there was no evidence to suggest that either of the suspects’ drinks had been tampered with.
Both were arrested later that morning and charged with indecent exposure.
Bailey is a former NFL wide receiver who played three years for the St. Lous Rams from 2013 to 2015 after being selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
In 2015, Bailey was shot while sitting in a parked car in Miami Gardens. While he ultimately recovered from his injuries, the shooting caused him to retire from professional football.
Before attending West Virginia University, Bailey went to high school in South Florida at both Miami Carol City Senior High in Miami-Dade County and Miramar High School in Broward County.
