Officers and fire rescue personnel responded at 4:30 p.m. to a 911 call about an unconscious man in a garage at 1730 NW 109th Ave.

That’s where police said they found Octavis Anthony Myers, who appeared to have been deceased for some time.

They said while checking the residence to ensure no one else needed assistance, officers discovered a deceased woman in a bedroom. Her identity is being withheld until her next of kin can be notified.

Preliminary information suggests the deaths may be criminal in nature, authorities said.

“It’s upsetting. We know each other quite well (for a) long time,” said Kathy Bunbury, who lives nearby. “(I’m) really shocked. ”It’s a nice quiet area. Not too much going on.”

Authorities are also concerned for 27-year-old Isaiah Collins, the grandson of the homeowner, who they said often stays at the home.

His whereabouts are currently unknown. Police are asking the public for any information that could help locate him safely.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation is urged to contact the Pembroke Pines Police Department at 954-431-2200, email tips@ppines.com, or call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
