According to Miami Gardens police, officers received a report at about 8:35 a.m. that a female had been forcibly pulled into a U-Haul van.

Police said responding units tried to pull over the van, but the driver refused to stop, leading to a chase into Miramar, Pembroke Pines and unincorporated Broward County.

According to police, the driver eventually stopped the van back in Miami Gardens in the 2700 block of Northwest 207th Street where the male driver and his passengers were taken into custody.

“High speed chases are always dangerous,” Miami Gardens police spokeswoman Diana Delgado said. “You always have to consider the environment. You always have to consider the time of day.”

The female was recovered in good condition, police confirmed.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported her to a local hospital for a precautionary evaluation.

No other details were immediately released.
