Deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said Tyana Partee, 22, was set to leave MIA on a Southwest Airlines flight and was trying to go through the security line at around 5:45 a.m. with oversized luggage.

An MDSO arrest report states that the worker, a senior who works for Ultra Aviation Services, told her she had to check the bag in with Southwest.

According to the report, Partee “told him it was a carry-on and she refused to go check it in with the airline.”

After a verbal dispute in which the worker tried to stop Partee from going through the checkpoint by holding her luggage, Partee pushed the worker to the ground, then got in line, deputies said.

Deputies said Southwest denied Partee boarding and “she became irate and started yelling and screaming.”

They said she was asked to leave the line but continued throwing a tantrum, using “obscene language.”

Cops took her into custody on charges of battery on a person 65 or older and disorderly conduct.

As of Monday afternoon, she was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on an $1,150 bond.
