RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — A 47-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a suspected arson that occurred earlier this month at the clubhouse for the Enforcers Motorcycle Club in Palm Beach County, authorities announced Monday.
According to Mike Jachles, a spokesman for the Riviera Beach Police Department, the fire occurred around 6 a.m. Sept. 11 at the clubhouse, located at 1525 Avenue E.
Jachles said the flames were quickly extinguished by firefighters, and investigators determined that the fire appeared to be a case of arson.
Detectives from the Florida Bureau of Fire, Arson, and Explosives Investigations and Riviera Beach Police Department’s Strategic Investigations Division responded to the scene.
The suspect in the case was eventually identified as Randall Ray Love.
Jachles said Love was arrested Sept. 12 on drug charges in another city.
He was later interviewed by detectives from the Riviera Beach Police Department at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Main Detention Center, where he admitted to the crime, Jachles sad.
Love now faces one count each of second-degree arson, burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and criminal mischief of property over $1,000.
A motive for the alleged arson has not been disclosed.
