DANIA BEACH, Fla. — The Broward Sheriff’s Office released photos Wednesday which show its Fire Rescue and Emergency Services Technical Rescue Team (TRT) rushing to save a man who had fallen from the 13th to the 12th floor at a building that is under construction in Dania Beach.

The incident occurred Sept. 15 at 46 SW First St.

According to BSO, there were no working elevators at the building yet, so crews had to secure the victim in a Stokes basket and use a high-point lowering system to bring him safely down.

The worker was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.

“This successful rescue is a powerful reminder: training saves lives,” BSO posted on its Facebook page.

The worker’s identity and condition have not been released.
