MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Three people were injured Monday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in northeast Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, four vehicles – a box truck, two pickup trucks and a Nissan SUV – were involved in the collision in the southbound lanes of I-95 near Ives Dairy Road.
Troopers said the crash caused the box truck to overturn.
Three of the drivers involved in the crash were transported to Jackson North Medical Center with minor injuries, troopers said.
Only one lane was open to traffic after the crash, but the full roadway was expected to reopen by 9:30 a.m.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation and it’s not yet clear which driver was at fault.
