HIALEAH, Fla. — Hialeah police arrested a suspect Monday who was wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month in the parking lot of an apartment building in Hialeah.
According to Hialeah police, the shooting occurred around 12:40 p.m. on Sept. 10 in the parking lot of an apartment building at 2265 W. Fourth Court.
Police said the suspect, Fletcher Deno Jimeson, 47, who lives at the apartment building, got into an argument with another man in the parking lot, during which time Jimeson pulled out a gun and fired toward the victim, striking him.
The victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he died.
Fletcher was taken into custody Monday on charges of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm/ammunition by a convicted felon.
As of Tuesday morning, he was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.
