Plantation police search for 13-year-old who ran away from home

PLANTATION, Fla. — Plantation police are searching for a 13-year-old boy who has been reported missing.

According to police, Hormar Charilus ran away at about 5:40 p.m. Thursday from his home in the 500 block of Northwest 42nd Avenue.

Police said he has an altered mental status and is considered an endangered juvenile.

Officers described Hormar as a Black male, who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

According to police, Hormar was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, blue jeans and carrying a gray backpack.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency.
