LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. — A man was hospitalized after a shooting Friday night in Lauderdale Lakes, authorities confirmed.
Broward County deputies said they responded shortly before midnight to the 4700 block of Northwest 24th Court, where they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound.
They said he was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Authorities confirmed that two people were detained in connection with the incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
Carey Codd, a spokesperson with the Broward Sheriff’s Office, identified one of the suspects as 23-year-old Denarius Artison.
Codd also confirmed that Artison is facing one count of attempted murder.
Artison’s booking photo was not immediately available and no other details about the shooting were immediately released.
