MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A new Bendixen & Amandi International poll reveals sharp divides and strong opinions among Miami-Dade County voters on a range of political and local issues.
The survey of 600 registered voters, conducted between Sept. 30 and Oct. 3, has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.
When asked about the state’s proposal to transfer land owned by Miami Dade College for the future Donald Trump Presidential Library, 74 percent of voters said the land should remain with the college.
As for the Miami Seaquarium, 54 percent of respondents said they would like to see it continue as a tourist attraction, while 36 percent said the county should explore other uses for the property.
The poll also found 66 percent of voters oppose using county tax dollars to help fund World Cup soccer matches at Hard Rock Stadium next year.
In addition, more than half of Miami-Dade residents surveyed — 56 percent — said they’ve considered moving away because of affordability concerns.
On the issue of public safety, 54 percent support keeping automatic speed cameras in school zones.
The poll also measured approval ratings for key political figures.
President Donald Trump received 46 percent approval among Miami-Dade voters, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis 47 percent, and Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava 54 percent.
The poll states that the findings reflect a county electorate that is “deeply engaged but sharply divided” on major policy questions — from vaccine mandates to immigration enforcement — heading into 2026.
