HIALEAH GARDENS, Fla. — Armed detectives surrounded a home Tuesday night in Hialeah Gardens.

The police activity was spotted in the area of Northwest 117th Street near 89th Avenue.

Local 10 was there as a team of detectives -- with guns drawn and behind a shield -- used tools to break their way into the home.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, detectives were searching for a wanted subject at the home.

Deputies confirmed that the suspect was detained.

No other details were immediately released.
