Detectives said Elizabeth Hernandez is accused in the June 20 killing of Jason Durrell Anderson, 43, whose body was found in a room at the Holiday Inn, located at 5125 NW 36th St., near Doral.

They said a hotel worker entered the room to fix a phone line and found Anderson’s body naked and unresponsive under the bed.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

An autopsy later determined that Anderson died of “homicidal violence,” with injuries that included blunt force trauma, lacerations, bite marks and neck hemorrhaging, according to the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office.

Investigators reviewed hotel surveillance video, which they said showed Anderson checking into the hotel on June 19 with Hernandez and a man, identified as Yoan Guzman-Zequeira, 41.

The next morning, deputies said the two were seen leaving the hotel carrying several bags, including what appeared to be bedding and towels. Guzman-Zequeira was also wearing different clothing — believed to belong to the victim, according to the report.

In the days following Anderson’s death, deputies said Hernandez and Guzman-Zequeira used the victim’s debit card throughout Miami-Dade County, depleting his account of roughly $6,000.

Surveillance video linked the pair to the fraudulent purchases.

Further video evidence showed Hernandez and Guzman-Zequeira meeting with a third man, Dagmart Perez, 51, at Casino Miami just hours after the alleged murder was reported.

Perez said that when he and Guzman-Zequeira went to the hotel room that morning, it was “dirty and in disarray,” and that Guzman-Zequeira became angry when Perez began touching items in the room, the report stated.

Investigators said that Perez told Guzman-Zequeira he felt “uncomfortable” before both men left the property. His account was corroborated by the hotel’s surveillance video.

They said Guzman-Zequeira and Perez both appeared on video briefly returning to the hotel around 7:40 a.m. on the day Anderson’s body was discovered, staying about 30 minutes before leaving again.

Jail records show Hernandez is facing charges of first-degree murder, grand theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Guzman-Zequeira and Perez have not been arrested, and it is unclear if any charges will be filed against them.

As of Tuesday, Hernandez was being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
