According to the email, school administrators immediately notified the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office after becoming aware of the video.

MDSO Detective Angel Rodriguez confirmed to Local 10 News Thursday that the agency’s Homeland Security Bureau is investigating and are in the process of conducting interviews.

He said no arrests have been made at this time.

School administrators assured parents in their email that the school, located at 500 SW 127th Ave., would be open as planned Thursday and no threat was made toward the school.

“Following our standard operating procedures, we have informed our security team and they will implement heightened security measures,” the email to parents read. “The safety of everyone on our campus will always be our number one priority. We hope that everyone – students, faculty, staff, and parents – can work together to remain vigilant.”
