According to Miami Police Officer Kiara Delva, the shooting was reported at 1:06 a.m. in the 900 block of Southwest 12th Avenue.

Delva said officers arrived at the scene and found three people suffering from gunshot wounds.

All three were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Their conditions have not yet been released.

The victims were identified by authorities as a woman in her mid-70s, a man in his mid-20s, and a man in his early 50s.

Family members told Local 10 News that the senior involved in the shooting was celebrating her 72nd birthday at the time, and the others were her son and a neighbor’s grandson.

According to a neighbor, several relatives got into an argument before a man shot three members of his own family, however police have not yet confirmed that information – only saying there were three victims who were injured.

Authorities said SWAT units responded to the scene around 4:30 a.m., closing off the road and arriving in three large vehicles with guns drawn.

The scene showed bullet holes through walls, windows, and doors, with blood stains on the ground. Detectives spent hours collecting evidence and trying to piece together the events.

Family members said they are shaken but grateful that the night meant for celebration did not end in tragedy.

The victims were identified only as a man in his mid-20’s, a man in his early 50’s, and a woman in her mid-70’s.

Miami police confirmed that the shooter remains at large. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
