Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show officially opens Tuesday

Excitement on the water as Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show begins

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The boats are back in Fort Lauderdale as the 66th edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show officially kicks off Tuesday.

It will include five full days of all things nautical, including some extremely swanky mega yachts and many other incredible vessels of all sizes.

If you love being out on the water, and have some spare change to spend, then the boat show is the place to be.

There will be close to 1,300 boats and yachts on display, all spread out across seven different marinas.

Over the years, the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show has grown to become the largest in-water boat show in the entire world, and more than 100,000 people are expected to attend over the next five days.

In all, the boat show generates more than $1.78 billion in annual economic impact here, and supports tens of thousands of jobs across the south Florida area.

One of the ultra-luxury vessels on display and up for sale is the La Luna mega yacht.

Built in Italy back in 2021, the 111-foot yacht can house up to 10 guests across five different staterooms.

There’s everything on board from a gym, a kitchen, and of course, a couple fully stocked bars.

One of the coolest features on the vessel is the stunning primary cabin, featuring full-sized wrap around windows that offer gorgeous 180-degree views off the front of the yacht.

“Feature of the boat is it allows the outdoor areas, gym downstairs, indoor-outdoor flow, feel like you’re out at sea but enjoying a hotel at the same time,” said La Luna Captain David Sullivan.

The sale price for the yacht is a cool $10.5 million.

But don’t worry, if luxury isn’t your thing and you’re more in the market for a dingy rather than a super yacht, there are plenty of other things to see at the boat show as well.

All the fun and festivities run through Sunday. For more information on the boat show, including ticket purchasing information, click here.
