MIRAMAR, Fla. — A fire tore through a Miramar home Thursday night, leaving it heavily damaged but causing no injuries, officials said.
The blaze broke out around 7:50 p.m. near the 2100 block of Arcadia Drive. Video shows flames shooting through the roof as firefighters arrived.
Miramar Fire Rescue said no one was home and no pets were inside. Crews from all five city stations and a Pembroke Pines unit responded. A downed power line was reported nearby, though the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The home is considered a total loss. The American Red Cross have been called in to help the displaced family, and FPL crews are working to restore power to the area.
