MEDLEY, Fla. — The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that authorities say began as a road rage incident Friday night.

Deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the southbound lanes of 87th Avenue near Northwest 64th Street. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, officials said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

With assistance from the Doral Police Department, deputies located the suspected shooter and took the individual into custody, according to MDSO.

No additional details have been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
