MIAMI — Miami’s growing pedestrian corridor is taking another step forward with the official opening of the Inter Grove Gallery, a 150,000-square-foot open-air market and cultural hub.
The new destination, part of the Underline’s third phase, is designed to transform 3.5 miles of continuous public trail into a space for art, food, and live entertainment.
Organizers said visitors can expect rotating pop-ups and performances that showcase Miami’s creative and entrepreneurial community, giving small businesses more visibility in the heart of the city.
Mayor Francis Suarez, who attended the ribbon-cutting, said the project continues to inspire confidence in the city’s vision.
“It’s amazing to be here to cut the ribbon. Every time we cut the ribbon of another section it’s more hope, more inspiration and confidence our community has for us to execute things that will change their quality of life,” Suarez said.
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said the gallery will also boost the local economy.
“It’s also going to be an economic driver because the value along the corridor will shoot up. People will want to live here because of this space but also because it’s close to a very excellent transit system,” she said.
