MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday in the area of Southwest 67th Avenue and Southwest 40th Street, authorities said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the scene and found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Officials said two people have been detained in connection with the incident.

The Kendall District General Investigations Unit has taken over the case and is actively investigating.

No additional information has been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
