MIAMI — A little man put on a big performance before a Miami Heat game over the weekend.
Seven-year-old Jelijah Diaz is a simple South Florida kid with a love of music.
He can play the classics and even pop classics.
“I love ”Forever Young” by Alphaville and The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun,” Diaz said.
He also has perfect pitch and can identify notes and natural frequencies by ear, a rare ability found in approximately one in ten thousand people
His performance Saturday night at the Miami Heat game helped put him on the map.
The video of his rendition of the National Anthem has gone viral, and he’s hoping it will go even further.
“I wish I could beat Mr. Beast, who has 500 million subscribers,” he said.
Although Diaz has a deep love for music, he says he also wants to be an astronaut.
He can also solve Rubik’s cubes in under one minute and can play several instruments including trumpet, glockenspiel, ukulele, guitar, and flute.
