ORLANDO, Fla. — The father of missing Margate 10-year-old Gabrielle Terrelonge held a news conference in Orlando on Wednesday, pleading for her return.
According to investigators, Gabrielle was last seen on June 30 taking a Greyhound bus to Orlando with her mother, Passha Davis. They arrived at the Florida Mall, where Wednesday’s news conference took place.
Police arrested Davis, 34, on a child neglect charge earlier in November.
Authorities say Davis has not provided any information about Gabrielle’s whereabouts, and despite efforts by multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Gabrielle has not been located.
Investigators said Gabrielle was last seen leaving a Walmart in Margate on June 21 and was later reported missing on Oct. 29 by her father.
They described her as a Black female, approximately 4-foot-8, weighing around 90–100 pounds, with shoulder-length black hair and a thin build. Authorities said she is known to travel between Central and South Florida with family members.
According to the arrest report, officers noted that Davis is homeless and suffers from mental health and substance abuse issues.
When questioned by police, Davis claimed she did not know where her daughter was and said Gabrielle was supposed to be with her father—something investigators say is not supported by evidence.
Margate police say they’ve been searching various locations in central Florida where Gabrielle may be.
Officials with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve been assisting Margate police and “have canvassed abandoned hotels” along the U.S. 192 corridor near Kissimmee as they look for Gabrielle.
Anyone with information on Gabrielle’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Margate Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at 954-972-7111 or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information.
