MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Troopers responded to a road rage incident Thursday night in which a person was shot on Interstate 95, authorities said.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the shooting occurred just before 6:45 p.m. on the northbound entrance ramp from Ives Dairy Road.
When troopers arrived, they provided first aid to the victim, who was driving a silver Porsche, until Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel took over.
The victim, who was shot in the right arm, was then taken to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital for treatment.
A “be-on-the-lookout” alert has been issued for the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle, described as a black Chevrolet truck. Troopers said the driver fled north after the shooting.
No additional details about the shooter or the circumstances leading up to the shooting have been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
