MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Troopers responded to a road rage incident in which a person was shot on Interstate 95 at the northbound entrance ramp from Ives Dairy Road Thursday night, authorities said.

When troopers arrived, they provided first aid to the victim until Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel took over.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A be-on-the-lookout alert has been issued for the suspect’s vehicle, described as a black Chevrolet. No additional details about the shooter or the circumstances leading up to the incident have been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
