MIAMI — “You can’t get away with bullying and defaming people.”
That’s what rapper Megan Thee Stallion told Local 10 News on Friday morning before taking the stand in her defamation trial against blogger Milagro Cooper in Miami federal court.
The rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete, is suing Cooper — known online as Milagro Gramz — accusing her of teaming up with Canadian rapper Tory Lanez to “denigrate, belittle, insult and spread false statements” about her.
Lanez — whose real name is Daystar Peterson — was convicted in 2022 of shooting at Pete in Los Angeles.
Inside the courtroom Friday, Pete’s credibility was a major focus.
Cooper’s attorneys pressed her on whether she ever misled the public about the incident with Peterson.
Pete maintained she told the truth during the 2021 criminal trial — but acknowledged she hasn’t been fully truthful in other, unrelated situations.
Pete also described a pornographic deepfake that Cooper urged followers to watch, calling it “embarrassing” and saying that was the moment she decided to file suit.
She told jurors Cooper’s attacks began before the criminal trial and that she believes Peterson and his family fed Cooper information to sway public opinion and paint her as a liar.
