Marlins serve up 1,000 holiday meals in team’s annual Thanksgiving tradition

MIAMI — The Miami Marlins aren’t just giving away meals this holiday season — they’re doing it in a way that’s fun for families, players and team executives.

The team held its 16th annual Thanksgiving meal distribution on Friday. The Marlins gave away 1,000 Thanksgiving meals, including 15 pounds of food and a 10-pound turkey.

Marlins players Xavier Edwards and Anthony Bender, along with manager Clayton McCullough, joined team executives for the celebration.
