HOMESTEAD, Fla. — Police are investigating a double stabbing that they say occurred near a park in Homestead on Saturday morning.

It happened in the 1500 block of Southeast 24th Court, near Mayor Roscoe Warren Municipal Park.

Homestead police said two victims were taken to Baptist Health Homestead Hospital by medics with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

They said the investigation is in its preliminary stages and the area has been closed to local traffic.

A motive remains unclear at this time, and no other details about the stabbings were immediately released.
