MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — First responders rushed to the scene of a wrong-way crash that occurred on I-95.
It happened at approximately 5:17 in the northbound lanes of I-95 in the area of Miami Gardens Drive.
According to authorities, a black Chevrolet coupe was going south in the northbound lanes when it collided with a blue Dodge sedan that was going north head-on.
Troopers said the crash caused the Dodge to collide with a semi-truck that was also going north.
There were two people inside the Chevrolet that were rushed to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital with serious injuries, authorities said, while four people inside the Dodge were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Four lanes of I-95 were closed for around two hours while investigators processed the scene, but the highway has since reopened.
