Suspects at large after 18-year-old man hurt in northwest Miami-Dade shooting An 18-year-old man was wounded Monday night after several men opened fire in a northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood, authorities confirmed.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — An 18-year-old man was wounded Monday night after several men opened fire in a northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting occurred just before 8 p.m. near the intersection of Northwest 50th Street and Northwest 22nd Avenue, in the county’s Brownsville area.

Deputies said multiple shooters were firing in the area when the victim was struck. Responding units found the man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The scene quickly filled with deputies, detectives and crime-scene investigators, who placed yellow tape around the area and collected several evidence bags.

Authorities said it remains unclear whether the victim was the intended target or an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where deputies said he was listed in stable condition.

They said the shooters fled in an unknown direction, and no arrests have been made at this time.
