MONROE COUNTY, Fla. — A 48-year-old Miami Shores man was arrested Friday after authorities said he groped a woman at a bar in the Florida Keys.

Jail records show John Vincent Krieny is facing one count each of battery and committing an unnatural and lascivious act.

Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to the Lime Tree Bay Resort at approximately 8:37 p.m. after the woman reported that Krieny touched her under her shirt and on her pants without her consent.

The victim told deputies she repeatedly asked Krieny to stop and warned him that her husband would return shortly, authorities said.

They said Krieny appeared intoxicated at the time of the incident.

He was taken into custody and booked into jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Dec. 22.
