A group of children who have spent far too much time in hospital rooms received a bit of holiday magic on Tuesday.
Those brave young patients boarded a fantasy flight to the North Pole.
The joyride took off from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport with least a dozen current and former patients of the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and their families.
The flight landed at the Sheltair Aviaton hangar, which was transformed into a holiday spectacle that came with the warmest of welcomes.
Local 10’s Jason Carter was there, and you can check out his full report at the top of this page.
